Hi and welcome to the forum Cheesemakers.
I'm not an expert on rollators, or wheeled walking frames which is what I presume you mean?
These things?
My mother had one of those. It was the bane of my life as it was quite bulky and always seemed to be in the way. It was good support for her though and she couldn't have done without it. They can be a PIA in a smallish house though.
I use a 3 wheeler like this.
It takes much less space, has a tray on top to carry things around on turns on a dime, but it is nowhere near as stable as a 4 wheeler. I just need it to lean on when standing for any length of time due to a back problem, but care must be taken to keep even weight on it as they can tip sideways very easily. Anyone with leg problems would be far safer with a 4 wheeler.
It depends on the degree of support you need, how wobbly you get, and how maneuverable it needs to be to decide on the best option.
Remember too that as a rule you get what you pay for. Some are a bit rickety. It's not the brand that matters so much as the unit's suitability to your particular needs.
Find a 'mobility' shop and test drive a few if possible. Also cruise eBay or similar to get an overall idea of prices, types, and standards etc.
Hope that helps a little.
