Greetings from The New Forest

The website is of a photographer name of Adrian Lambert. I've known Adrian a number of years. He phoned me before that event and asked if I would bring the car, he also said that he would introduce me to Wendy Peart who runs a modelling agency. She had asked if she could use my car as a prop for her models to pose around. Who said that getting old is boring?
yes I could see it was Lambert, wasn't sure if that was you or not,,..we do have pro photographers here too you see... but yes it does sound like you're car is in much demand, not surprised tbh... Vintage MG's are beautiful things... do you know about the B&B at Hallingbury near Bishops stortford.. whose passion are for Vintage Morgan cars ?

Welcome from Georgia, USA!
I, sorry, we, have been to Georgia many times CinnamonSugar, not the entire State obviously. My school friend Monica who worked in hospital management, met and married a surgeon whilst working on secondment at a hospital in the US, I never did find out where. In Georgia, or to be more precise, Savannah, we dined out with my school friend and her husband. At the restaurant I made a typically British faux pas. American taste in beer is to serve it so chilled the glass can stick to your lips. I prefer my beer cold, but not chilled.

The waitress brought me my beer glass filled with ice, this is to cool the glass, she then tipped the ice away and poured the chilled beer into the glass. I should have said nothing, just smile and say thank you. It was a warm evening, the company was convivial and my wife and I were enjoying ourselves. But that stupid tongue of mine just couldn't behave itself. "Have you got a beer that isn't all but frozen?" I enquired. The waitress, taken aback, she replied: "You like warm beer?" "No I don't like warm beer," I thought, but didn't say. In fact I didn't even respond. A severe kick in my shin, from my wife, along with her addressing the waitress, saying, "His beer is lovely, thank you so much," I knew, and so did my tongue, this meant, shut up and put up. We love Savannah, but sadly my school friend passed away a couple of years ago, just a few months after her husband. We like to think that they are together again.

Welcome Horseless!!! I hope you...and Mrs Horseless (?) love it here as much as I do. So any interesting questions and answers. I just love the way other people look at things

And your MG? OMG Beautiful!!!!
The welcome here is really heartwarming, more so because of being restricted in socialising. You like my MG, kind of you to say so. That car has graced the pages of magazines, brochures and promotion leaflets, we have had some wonderful adventures with it. During winter though we leave it hibernating in a heated garage but if we get some winter sunshine, I always take it out, as long as there's no gritting salt left on the roads. The run out keeps the engine in good order and it's good to keep the oil and water flowing through.

Well anytime you want to run it to Wisconsin, I’ll be waiting 😂😂😂

Kathleen, have you heard of a song that goes:
"Put another nickel in
In the nickelodeon."
I can't post photos yet but if you search
One More Time. 1015
It should show you what my record player looks like.
I told you that I was into the vintage scene.

I don't see a way of doing so yet, Holly. What sort of icon am I looking for, and is there, perhaps a period of time that has to elapse first?
possibly a period of a couple of days, I honestly can't remember.

The icon is the box to the right of the smiley.. you need to upload your URL or picture from your computer into that.. although I know others do it several different ways so no doubt will be along to suggest another way for you to try...

Welcome. New Forest sounds idyllic. I don't think I'd want to live there but I might want to visit.
That sentiment I understand completely. My wife and I have spent many a vacation in the US, we could have lounged in the sunshine of the Mediterranean like so many other Europeans, but we preferred America. Despite that, I always looked forward to coming home.

There was a time when my commute to work never saw a blade of grass. Not anymore.

For me it's more about urban vs rural than US vs UK. I'd be ecstatic to be able to live in London but I'm afraid being away from urban areas is rather boring to me after a while. I enjoy being out in the wild for days at a time but that's about it.

Re-reading my post and your's, I seem to have given the wrong message. I'm with you in that it's not about a preference for one country or another, goodness me, no. The times that I have flown over the pond has probably accelerated the melting of a polar ice cap. I love the US, but I love home too. How blessed am I to be able to enjoy both countries?

Sorry I misread it. I too feel fortunate that I've had a chance to experience the wonders of both countries.
