Grocery bill this week was $101.27

I'm not going to debate the chicken issue, but those chickens are in transporting cages. Those aren't the type of cages used in farming. I've seen chickens headed to processing plants for years in transporting cages on the road.

Any idea what the story was with those birds since they look ill. Could they have been enroute to be put down & the carcassess destroyed to stop a disease?
Okay, here's a factory farm too big to be a transportation vehicle. No cages, just living life.

I've been buying the small center cut pork chops and the small mock sirloin steaks and dividing into two servings and freezing. We eat these for breakfast now with eggs instead of bacon or sausage. Also, I cook and highly season ground chicken and turkey for omelets. These things are much less expensive, leaner, more protein.
My food bill may be high but we eat well. Fresh, not too much convenience food. In fact, that keeps the bill down.

Many stores sell Amazon gift cards, for cash.

Amazing also offers a variety of reloadable accounts that will accept a debit card.

Great thinking, Aunt Bea!
Buying some gift cards could be a great way to take advantage of some of Amazon's and/or Walmart's deals @debodun.
Both offer free shipping with a minimum purchase, usually $35.
