When you buy chicken, check two labels on the package...

The "sell by" date on the front of the package... And

The "package" date on the back.

Chicken 🐔 has a shelf life of 13 days from the package date,

So, try to buy a package that has at least 7 days left before the "sell by" date.

Good to know, don'tcha think?🤔🤗

Here in the UK..we have 2 dates.. one is the Sell by date.. which is usually on cans and packets where if you consume after that date you're unlikely to come to any harm. The other is far more important and that's the USE BY date which means if you don't consume by that date at the very latest ( and I always do before that date).. you're likely to get ill.. So , fresh meat, chicken, fish, shellfish.. eggs, fresh produce .. etc...
