On my trip, I saw so many people looking at 'everything' through their phones or tablets, and I wondering what they would have said if I had said something like, "Look at it, it is right there, just let yourself feel it" :hide:
I can't believe how many people are attached to their cell phones Ina, they do miss a lot of the enjoyment of the moment in the present I think. They just can enjoy it as a photo of the past. I've done something similar with my camera when on camping trips, so excited to get a picture of a wild animal, that by the time I get the camera focused, they're walking away. Now, I try to enjoy the moment first. They'd probably say, 'outta my way lady, my facebook is waiting for this'.
I agree totally Sea. If I'm not mistaken you are from around Colorado. I found it to be a place of peace, especially if you got aways from society, and just let yourself absorb the gifts to be had.
Several years ago, probably before smart phones, I was at Disneyland and noticed how many people were hauling around these big honking video cameras and trying to capture every moment on tape instead of enjoying the moment with their little kids. It was sad.
