Guys - Do you dye that grey right out of your hair?

I did once. The lady first cut it short. I had been naturally brown.

She put chemicals on it and it percolated a long time. Didn't take.

She put more chemicals on it. And I sat there staring at the ceiling again for some time.

It ended up a reddish brown. Something does happen in the perception, I definitely looked younger.

No, I earned the gray hair.

When I was working offshore at Mobile Bay back in the latter 90's, one of the men who was in his early 40's and had Salt/Pepper hair.
Well one day after days off when he came back Offshore his hair was Jet Shiny Black. He was laughed at and made fun of for awhile - but in fairness he deserved it as it was ridiculous looking.

Manners would have it, in our local club men are asked to remove their hats as a form of respect. In the olden days men removed their hats when entering an elevator. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

that is etiquette, not manners.

manners stay constant - treating other people kindly etc - but etiquette varies between different times and different places

what was the done thing i n a different time or place may not be here and now - wearing hats indoors is example of that.

I did until i had the stroke at work in '08, since my wife worked there too I was under constant scrutiny from the women. pfft...

I have a lot more now, and I earned every one of them. I wear my gray hair and beard with Pride.

I used to but got tired of always doing. I have been bald now for years and love it. Shave my head twice a day.

Nope, no dye for me....and keep my hair cut to 1/4 inch all the
time now...been doing that for several years now...lucky to have
a lady barber who will come to my home, that way don't have
to arrange a ride for the deed to get done...also don't lose
any hair !! Nope never seen hair going down the drain for
whatever reason, would be happy to be bald....

It's better to choose a hair color that is close to your natural hair color, and simply cover the grey or white hair.
I am sure you see there are plenty of fake blondes out there that look just ridiculous.
