Hackers take over a Jeep to show that it can be dome
wirelessly.

According to the report that I read in the newspaper
today, they are paid by the Us Defence Agency D.A.R.P.A.

One Story Here

Mike.

I have a car exactly like the one in the ditch... lol!! They take control through the wireless U-Connect media system... something offered to me free for one year... something I REFUSED... Glad I did..

The simplier the better or safer from electronic failure and hacking. Doesn't surprise me. Many cars have so many electronics in them even the turn signals use a computer chip and a light circuit is about as simple as you can get.

A stick shift anyone?

Yes.. todays new cars are giant computers... however, only if the vehicle is connected by wireless to a media or GPS system.. can it be hacked.. No wireless connections.. no hacking.. SO best to keep it simple as you said.. Play the radio.

I have OnStar and they have a new method of stopping a vehicle's engine in case of a hijacking or other serious crime.

Sometimes they don't have time to lay down a tack strip. But Now, the perps are using tubeless tires and you can't shoot them out.

We just have to keep ahead of them. Ha Ha

Since when can't you shoot out a tubeless tire John?

Could put foil on the GPS, OnStar and/or main control box. Some would say like a hat.
