This new place has the same pottery as the old one. Also uses the same company for PT. The same psychiatrist floated in. He has an aery walk.

OWNER SAME FOR BOTH!

This “new” place different in tone. It is the artsy fartsy Village here after all here they supposedly have art gallery. Staff much more attentive. They come right away. I use a wheelchair for my private bathroom.

Old place two blocks from my family. That is worth a lot. More than good care? I think so. I loved and needed seeing them most days.

Today begins my sixth month of hospitalization. A hard rain has been falling for a long while now.

Anyway, my good friends, a coincidence? Aren’t we turning into a nation of monopolies? Where I am sitting since I can barely stand, the answer is Yes

I guess my Medicare dollars still accepted by same people who I called the cops on.

I don't know Pepper. I think good care would be way more important than being closer to family. I'd rather see you better taken care of. The other was flat out elder abuse. I wish only the best for you. I am hoping they will take good care of you and that if this is a permanent thing that things will go smoothly and be ok for you. I know it sucks something awful but it's better you be cared for than the be in the state you were in before.

The good part I noticed is staff is more attentive and comes right away. Despite other simlarities, maybe the staff here will be more helpful; I hope so.

Pepper, I really think that the apparent higher level of care is the most important thing. Focus on that private bathroom! Hang in there, girl and vent all you want. You are being heard with love.

I really hope that you are able to heal and return home. This place sounds much better although it’s farther from your kids.

Accentuate the positive - you’ll improve sooner. This seems like a much better place for you.

Staffing is much better in a rehab center because insurance pays more often for "rehab" than it does for "nursing home" care. I, for one, am so glad you are now in rehab, which is geared towards getting you better and back home. A nursing home is just the opposite.

ETA: Health care business consolidation is a big deal now. You don't suppose it's about money, do ya? Naaaahh.
