So I got my hair cut and really liked this new hair stylist, but I wish I didn't have to listen to her. Why? Because everything she says about her relationships/children I disagree with. She loves to talk. Was married once for 30 years, her husband had addictions. He left her for another woman, but she says she would take him back in a heartbeat. But right now she has been involved with her current boyfriend for 3 years. He can't seem to keep a job, so she is paying for dinners out, etc. One of her daughters is very disrespectful and now calls her mother by her mother's first name. I asked how come?
And she says to me, well, she always treated her daughters like pals once they got older and now one daughter just doesn't respect her. My hairstylist is 67 years old. She told me she is so, so looking forward to Valentines Day as it will be romantic as she will be taking her boyfriend to a restaurant and then she is going to spread rose petals all over the bed and have candles, etc.
She was asking me how old did I think she was? I said, oh no, I am very bad at guessing ages. So she told me that everyone says she doesn't look her age. I hate to say she does look her age (though I did not say that). She has dyed blonde hair down to her bum and wears a ton of makeup, she is slim and tall, but she still can't hide the fact that she is in her sixties unless she goes the botox way I guess.
So I don't know if I will go back to this hairdresser, because I feel like saying, why are you staying with this man? And why would you want your ex-husband back who has addictions and who left you? And no wonder, her daughter does not respect her when she is trying to act like her daughter's friend to go out clubbing with rather than a mom??
