Just to understand what all the fuss is about I tried the fall classic pumpkin spice pancakes at IHOP today. I must say I liked them better than the regular pancakes which seem to be a vehicle for fake maple syrup. They had more texture and more flavor (maybe whole wheat flour?) than I expected.

A Home Depot is a 3 block walk from my residence. Today walked in and saw near the entrance where they usually put displays of items on specials, a 40 foot or so wide section of lifesize Halloween spooks and such for lawn displays. Some were 20 feet tall. Didn't have a camera for a photo but... The below is one I just snagged off the web from one of their stores. Apparently, each store is different.

My favorite holiday. i used to live in Salem, Massachusetts and they dedicated the entire month to Halloween. So much fun.
