Halloween Potluck Party! Come Have Some Fun Everyone and Bring Your Food.

Goblin Punch

Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
3/4 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
1 - 46 ounce can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 ¼ cups sugar
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 - 28 ounce bottles ginger ale, chilled
1 - 28 ounce bottle carbonated water, chilled
ice cubes

Directions:
Combine water and frozen concentrates; stir to dissolve.
Stir in pineapple juice, sugar, and lime juice; stir to dissolve sugar.
Chill.
To serve, pour juice mixture over ice cubes in a large punch bowl.
Slowly pour in ginger ale and carbonated water; stir gently to mix.
Makes 22 (8-ounce) servings.

We don't do anything. Might get a couple of trick or treaters; they don't go out much. I don't blame them; you just never know what some people will give out.

Moon Cheese Board // serves 4-6

  • a variety of white cheese
  • purple potato chips
  • purple cauliflower
  • purple carrots
  • purple or white radishes
  • dried cherries (could also use figs or dates)
  • candied nuts
  • blackberries
  • dark olives like black olives or kalamatas
  • darker crackers or crisps
Start with creating the moon shape with one layer of cheese. We used a variety of mini mozzarella, blue cheese and cheese curds to create our moon! I started with the curds as the base layer, then added the mozzarella and blue cheese as I built up. Then, I started placing the other ingredients starting with the darkest and working outward! You should be sort of random with the placement, but then build out an 'edge' to your board. Pro tip: let the olives sit on paper towels before placing them on the tray so they dry out a teeny bit! Or use a bowl for them. Otherwise their juice will seep everywhere!

Yes some terrible people ruin Halloween for the kiddos. Every year there seems to be a news story after Halloween telling us what awful thing has been done. I don't know what's wrong with some people.

I still enjoy seeing the neighbors Halloween decorations tho.
