Don't know for sure about Old Dummy, but you're not late for mine, the 21st here. Tish started the thread on what was 20th here and 21st where she is. But i've never minded early or belated wishes, all good thoughts are welcomed!
@Old Dummy
Happy shared Birthday, (we also shared it with Queen Elizabeth's younger sister Margaret).
Hope it is a good one for you and a lovely year ahead.
We're in New Mexico and the the path was a good bit north of us tho there was some atmospheric effects visible. I've seen several partial and 1 or 2 total solar eclipses over the course of my life due to miving around a good bit. Most memorable was late 1960s in NYC. A cousin i hadn't seen in years was in town for one day and we spent the afternoon together, i'd forgotten about the eclipse till it was getting dark. We were in a park near my apt and it was way too early in afternoon for it to get dark. The birds in the park got quiet.Same to you!
I didn't know about the QE connection.
Do you remember August 21, 2017, when we had a near total solar eclipse? (maybe not where you are).
The weird light, or lack of it, in the middle of the afternoon was a bit strange.
