My earliest birthday memories are from when I was 5 or 6 years old. I had gotten a cowboy hat, vest and two cowboy cap guns with holsters. When Mom said it was time for my nap, I balked some....and she let me wear my new cowboy gear (minus the hat) and I had a hard time getting to sleep! Memory is a little foggy on if it was a Roy Rodgers or Hop-along Cassidy rig.
Another birthday, when I turned 12, sitting between my two older siblings. "Piece a cake"!
