If the weather cooperates, I'll probably head downtown tonight to watch the fireworks over Lake Monroe (which is actually a wide spot in the St. Johns River). I really, really like fireworks.

Well, I just clocked in at work. 6pm-6am, so I won't get to see any fireworks.

But, I do get 12 hours of double time and 8 hours holiday pay.

So, that's a total of 32 hours pay for 12 hours worked. Giddyup.

Oh, I just remembered an interesting historical fact. Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4, 1826, exactly 50 years after the DOI was signed. Both were on the 5 man drafting committee. One of the strangest coincidences in American history.
