Happy May Day

Ah may day my favorite time of the year. I have danced the maypole for the queen in my fancy English party dress. May Day is also my birthday which being the first day of the month is often overlooked. It also happens to be Beltane for us pagans. So for me May Day is a happy time. Too bad we do not celebrate it here in Canada, I would have loved a day off work back in the day....

Happy birthday! I am pretty sure that they still celebrate Beltane in Edinburgh. Bonfire....... and the whole works!

Growing up in Vancouver, we were made to partake of the Maypole Dance in school, with the long ribbons.
Happy belated birthday, Arachne. Today is my daughter's birthday, but we celebrated on Saturday.
