Happy New Year SF'ers. May 2023 be your best ever.

Did make it to midnight last night for arrival of 2023. Glad Sharon kept prodding me awake.

Watched the Dallas (Texas, USA) New Year celebration of The CW broadcast TV channel. Traditional on-stage country music and fireworks from a stationary lighted ball atop a downtown tower. What really set off the celebration was light show using drones. Really well done.

"Texas don't need no stinkin ball drop. It got drones."

Our New Year's Eve tickets arrived today. Hopefully the lady will be strong enough. She will have an afternoon rest, maybe even an hour's sleep. Keeping her off the dance floor for the evening's entertainment won't be easy. That said, her recovery, albeit slowly, is the best Christmas present ever.

Our phone has been rather busy of late. It's mostly friends and relatives catching up on my lady's health progress. In amongst those calls we have been invited to take the MG along to a New Year's Day event named: Classics On The Quay.
There's another event taking place that day, it's being held in the quay. Really, in the water. It's a bath tub race. Now that I would like to see. I hope the lady feels up to it. Reason for caution is that we shall see in the new year at The Pavilion's Gala Dinner Dance. Home by one thirty, bath, bed, then up and off to Classics on the Quay.

One of our friends turns 70 this year, there's going to be quite a party. Thankfully that's not until the end of March. I say thankfully because we promised to go to a 50th wedding anniversary party way back in the summer. That party held in a hotel's ballroom, will be on the Saturday after Christmas.
