I went to St. Patricks School with the Sisters of Mercy as our teachers. We were giving the day off from school and each child was handed a
small 3 leaf Clover badge which the Nuns had made up for us. It must have taken them a few weeks to make, that was the only act of kindness they showed us.
My boys played in a school Brass Band and every St. Patricks Day they played in the City in the big parade.
