Happy Thanksgiving !!! ... don't be a Turkey

I've always loved Turkey Day, even tho it signals the opening shot to my most despised season of the year. I used to love drinking bourbon while cooking, but these days, I'm not into cooking so much and order the meal for my son and me. Interestingly, my daughter, who doesn't live nearby, despises every holiday that exists.

Guess that seed didn’t fall too far from the tree.

@Texguy knows the way to my heart. This picture followed by two pie close-ups.
While studying this one I came up with a question: we have the pumpkin pie in the center then starting with the turkey and going clockwise, it's cornbread stuffing, hot rolls, green beans, macaroni and cheese, pecan pie, cranberry sauce, and lastly, sweet potatoes topped with ... what?

Happy Thanksgiving Folks. No turkey dinner for mr dave with friends today...wahhh. The rest of you owe the rest of us some delicious dinner food images today, especially turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes. 😋

But below was my 10:30am lunch, a Trader Joe's Pizza Ranch Salad 11.4 oz $3.99 for first time. I ate half and will finish the rest later that is in the fridge. Was a bit overwhelming for me to eat the whole thing at once. Soft, wet crunchy, strong ranch flavors like its color haha, but I like some of their other salads more.

Ate below about 2pm after a most enjoyable leisurely terrific fall urban street walk with lots of fun hand framing color fall urban tree leaves up against blue skies with temps mid 60F, slight breeze. In fact, saw a few shots I will take my a6700 rig out tomorrow for the first time this fall at sunrise to shoot part of colorful old urban school grounds landscaping. Rain last week has really brought our urban street leaves into peak color that will last just brief days.

Will shoot then because wind forecast is lowest near sunrise at 7>8am at 1mph. I'll use the diffuse blue/cloud sky light for an even exposure before sun actually hits any of my subject elements. Will be focus bracket shot at F5.0 on my big panoramic head tripod.

Mic heated up and fragrant Trader Joe's $7.99 Apple Crumb Pie and some Salted caramel Ice Cream. Ridiculously enjoyable apple with cinnamon sweet desert haha...the modern world. 😋

Small chunks of melted aged Gouda cheese and cheddar cheese atop salted ceramic plate.

For meat, at least I'm planning to air fry a modest fillet of frozen tilapia later today. One of my 4 ski areas is opening up for the season 11/30/24 Saturday, a 185 mile drive, that I might visit Monday?
