John Wayne advertising Camels. He smokes them to prevent throat irritation. And, gosh yes, let's get those babies on drinking soda. So good for them.I grew up seeing these ads and at the time they all seemed reasonable.

Ever see the ****** ads on TV? The ones showing the virile guy "in the prime of his life", driving a classic car and doing manly things?

That's not much better than the old ones.

In fact, the whole enchilada of pharmammercials is the same - always showing happy people without a care in the world, because they're using the advertised product.

How true, Phil. I am on some of these wonderful drugs that make you feel like a new person. Not!!! So many side effects that I really wonder why am I taking them. I have to laugh at some of these new drug ads. Two minutes telling us how wonderful there will help you, and, five minutes telling us possible side effects.
