Has Ai changed your life at all?

I anm guessing I unwittingly use it a lot more than I realize.

A good example of something innocent was a photo I had reposted from the Pet Section on this forum. It was a general photo that should have been an AP Wire photo —— I thought it was real —- it wasn’t—- it had been redone and was AI generated.

It got reported as questionable to the mods of that forum. Being way smarter than me regarding this sort of thing, they did a deep dive into the photo and were able to find out it was a fake.

AI generated photos are not permitted on that forum. When they told they had to remove it and why, they went n into detail as to what made it a fake picture. Not as damaging as famous people starting to show up in porn, but still unnerving.

AI has changed my life considerably, as I use it every day for many things.
It will be changing our future dramatically by advancements in every sector of life (Transportation, healthcare, education, technology, manufacturing, business, and others).
There will be many good things that will come from it, and some bad, but no one really knows the extent of either one at this point.
The future is both exciting and scary, but it is coming at a rapid pace, so brace yourself.

Yes. I don't trust images anymore on social media. I know there have been fake images for years but you could normally recognize them.
No more. It's creepy and wrong and dangerous.
Otherwise, I hope it changes our lives in medicine and manufacturing for the good.

AI is a tool that I use regularly. It has saved me a significant amount of money, delivered better results, and done so in a much shorter time frame.

The Industrial Revolution mechanized physical labor, displacing many manual jobs while eventually creating new industries and economic growth. Similarly, AI is automating routine cognitive work, causing disruption but ultimately reshaping, rather than eliminating, human value and work. People feared both societal changes.

We are heading down a blind path, not knowing what is at the other end. :(
I agree, and it is concerning. If I'm not mistaken, AI is controlled by people to a degree. Depending on the integrity and honesty of those in charge, it can be a positive tool, or work against us. Depending on what it's fed, it will take on their characteristics, good or bad. This is way above my pay grade, those much more knowledgeable can better see what is in store for humanity.

Article I read online....

It depends on what I'm searching. The other day, I wanted to know how long to cook a large baked potato in the crock pot on HI. Instead of clicking on a bunch of sites to get an answer, I just asked AI.

If I want to know the answer to a highly technical question, or want to know more about a particular medication, etc, and I'm going to depend on what I find, I may start by asking AI, but I will then evaluate the links AI references, to insure they support the AI answer and are up to date.
