Has Anybody Seen Dunkirk?

According to the reviews, it's a great movie (except according to one reviewer who said it was bad because there were almost no women in it --Duh, there weren't a whole lot of women on the beaches of Dunkirk.)

Anyway, I'd love to see it. If anyone here has seen it, what did you think?

Yes, we saw it last week. Very powerful and disturbing. You won't be "entertained" but you will be "educated". Very loud with lots of bombing and shooting; I jumped a lot.

I'm glad I saw it and would recommend it highly.

I saw it about a week ago, when we were up in the city for a couple of days. I have mixed opinions of it. It is a very good and Graphic documentary of the horrors the British soldiers went thru while they were trapped on the beach between the advancing German Army, and the ocean...and the heroic efforts of the fisherman and small boat operators to rescue the bulk of these trapped troops. Other than that, the movie really doesn't have much in the way of a storyline. I would Strongly recommend that anyone viewing this movie should take along a couple of cotton balls to stuff in their ears, as the sound effects are extreme...I have good hearing, but my ears were almost ringing after this movie.
