In case anyone doesn`t know what that is,it`s when a patient has been deemed to have no brain activity and are being taken to the operating room for organ removal for transplant. Hospital staff and friends and family members of the donor line up along the hallways to honor the donor and their family.

We will be attending an Honor Walk tonight. Our friends, the Buttons(some of you may remember Thanksgiving year before last,I somehow became Guest of Honor at the Buttons Thanksgiving dinner)Benjamin Button in fact.

This past Saturday,Ben Jr.(who is and always has been known as "Moose")was involved in a horrible crash in a Motocross race he was participating in. He never regained conciousness. 14 years old and the brightest, most beautiful child you could ever meet.My heart is shattered-for him,his parents and sister, all of his grandparents, aunts and uncles etc. I know them all and you could never meet a more loving, fun, generous family.

The outpouring of love and support for this family has been unbelievable. Tuesday night, over 200 people came to their house and held a candlelight vigil. Mind you,the Buttons have only lived in this state for two years. The number of friends they have amassed in that time is unbelievable.

Our two daughters in California will arrive this morning-our son in law and granddaughter came on Tuesday(Ben and my son in law have been best friends for many years)

Please keep this family in your thoughts as they go through this unimaginable horror.
