Has anyone ever had an In-Home Design Consultation?

How " did it go"?
And, if you "went through" with the project....were you pleased with the results.?

Let's hear it!

When we moved to Dallas in 2006, we went to Thomasville furniture and had one of their consultants come to our house. She was great at assessing what we needed and we are still happy to this day. She only consulted on furniture. We already knew we wanted the Humphrey Bogart collection and she added in other pieces. We like Traditional and a bit Art Deco and we have updated things since then. The "teacup" chairs were her idea and we still like them because they are unique. The bar was our idea. We have since replaced the chandelier that was in the original pictures.

We hired a contractor to replace our wood floors with darker, hand-scaped ones. It took almost 2 weeks! We are happy with the result but it took longer than we expected. We hired another contractor to update our kitchen and we pretty much made the decisions re: the counters and backsplash. We kept our cabinets because they were unique. He also renovated our guest bath but he gave us choices on the style of cabinets. We picked out the hardware. We are very happy with the results!
