That's the Drum Corp International. Hubby marched with the Cavaliers from 1966 to 1969 first as color guard, but then 3rd trumpet. They won the world championship in 66 and 67.
Last weekend we went to one of their competitions and the "Classic Cavaliers" were doing an exhibition performance. Hubby recognized 5 or 6 guys that he marched with.. so afterward we went over and it was like old home week.. Long story short, they invited him to join them and he will be attending his first rehearsal this coming Sunday!! He is going to be a Cavalier again and he is just beside himself... I think it's just wonderful..
