Has anyone seen the new sitcom, " Chad"? What do you think about it.

There's a new sitcom, "Chad". It's about 14 year old boy. I saw only snippets (frankly, that's all I could take). But the title role is played by a 30 year old actress. It's painfully obvious Chad is not a male. This has nothing to do with transgender issues, Chas is supposed to be a normal male kid. Yet, makeup ain't gonna cover up biology. I couldn't believe someone was dragging this dog to the barn.. Has anyone seen the new sitcom, " Chad"? What do you think about it?

Haven't seen it, but - - -

They may have gone with an adult actor, who can legally work the long hours typically required on production, rather than a minor whose daily working hours are very limited. My typical work days were 12 - 14 hours, and my longest "day" included 24.5 hours "on the clock" plus meals.

But why hire a 30 year old woman? Why not a young looking 18 or 20 year old man?

The actor created this. It’s an usual premise that was probably approved because it is different. Based on the clips I saw, I won’t be following it either.

First I have heard of it. If it is on a cable channel that would be why, as I do not have cable. I do not agree with the concept of an adult playing a child, for whatever reason. But who knows.

Someone else posted about this show in the Entertainment section a couple of weeks ago.I mentioned I watched about 15 min of the 1st episode which I thought was stupid, not funny at all.The ratings have been dismal, doubt TBS will renew it

That was me, who probably posted. I saw a few. minutes of the show. I was amazed somebody green lit this. To me, it was obvious this was another "My Mother, The Car'- the classic bomb of the 60s. The "14 year old boy" had these Groucho Marx type glue on eyebrows, and the" boy" was definitely a female. And it was from the Henny Youngman school of comedy. "She was no lady, she's my wife".
