Has anyone taken a defensive/safe driving course?

I am in process of taking one new, made by the New York State DMV. I am taking it online and when finished, we will get a 10% reduction on our insurance premiums each year for 3 years. The we can take it again. The course costs $25 , but saving 10% on each of the 6 month premiums we pay MORE than covers the course. Plus it will take points off your license. Not an issue for us as neither of us has points.
Online is great. It is a 6 hour course, but you can take breaks through the course and just pick up where you left off. So I just finished the first 45 minute module, aced the quiz and will go back to it after we have lunch. I am taking it as Rick is not patient enough to sit through all the reading. Plus he is not feeling 100% yet.
PS. I did mention this in another thread, but worth repeating. His biopsy came back as Stage 2 cancer, and no further treatment needed. YAY for Rick.

I take the NYS online course every three years. It's a good refresher and last time I learned a few things about road signs. Anyone with high insurance premiums should take it to save money. Good Luck to your husband.
