Has Anyone Used “Got Junk” or Other Junk Removal Services to Remove Unwanted Items?

I have slowly gotten rid of things we don't need by having Salvation Army pick them up. The first Monday of every month is also our trash pickup. I have put items outside for that.

There are also always lots of workers in our neighborhood, so if there is something that is no longer valuable to us I put it out near the street and if it is in decent shape it is picked up almost immediately.

Somebody usually wants my junk here. I think they sell the metal stuff. I had a lot to get rid of moving into a one bedroom cabin with small shed after living in three bedroom house with double garage. Smaller stuff I set out down the road at the dumpsters. It is always gone when I come back by.

I've also thought these places probably sell the decent things they have. One person's junk is another's treasure. I've watched a dumpster diving channel on YouTube who has a yearly garage sale selling things they pulled out of a dumpster and sold items online.

I've never called a service but some day I might have to. I have heard pick up is getting harder from thrift stores.
You are right! Thrift stores are not picking up like they used to!

For my own items I no longer want, (and sometimes add client items as well) I dropp off to my local goodwill. They have a drive thru drop off feature that makes it easy.

I also sell things on Facebook Marketplace from time to time, tools and suck for Ron, household and personal items for me.

For large items that goodwill won’t take and I don’t believe anyone will buy, but that are still useable in some way, I’ll either put them by the curb with a “FREE” sign, or offer them free on Marketplace. Without exception, anything offered this way gets picked up within the hour!!
