Has Anyone Used Goose Fat For Roasting?

Seems to be becoming popular now for things like roasted potatoes. I am tempted to order it from Amazon but wonder if the high price warrants replacing my go to canola oil.

I also wonder how they obtain the fat, if it is humane method?

We smoked one and bet there was 2 lbs of grease fat left
