Has the digital 1's & 0's transformed our pre-digital lives?

Real life is not made up of digital 1's & 0's. Before our whole world began it's transformation to computerizing most every aspect of our lives, we communicated with a much more organic feeling. It is a little hard to remember how it was before the LCD. :) Did you know that it takes longer for the brain to figure out what time it is by looking at an LCD than an regular wrist watch? The brain translates the digital to a spatial and recognizable memory, such as a wrist watch....analog. Real analog life, like it was before the computer was quite different. Digital images, and media of all kinds are sent across the world in a flash, and the messages ( all made of 1's and 0's ), are flung at each other, with a large amount of true content and feeling completely lost. The recipient is on the line to interpret the code. No wonder we have a culture and personal disruption occurring. I am wondering how much we are mechanizing our world at the cost of our organic past and future.?

That is why some of us go backpacking in remote wilderness areas for days where we can get back to our Earth creature roots. A week out in such areas refreshes our spirits and better grounds us in reality. But then just visiting a few hours in one's local natural areas can lift one back to our essence. From a few weeks ago...

That right! Too much technology has made a lot of thing happen but it has also caused a lot of problems. For our mental health we have to get outside and "smell the flowers," listen to the waters rippling, watch the fluffy clouds fly by and listen to the birds. David777 is 100% right on the nose with this issue.

Too many people have their nose stuck in their smart phone all the time, especially the young. I go out back when it's warmer to just sit, and my young neighbors come out, and out comes the smart phone. I see it in waiting rooms all the time too.
