Has the rocking chair got you?

I don't have a rocking chair but I have been wondering about them. Do you think the rocking motion helps to lubricate the joints or help circulation like some of the new devices designed for under the desk?

The rocking chair doesn’t have me. IMG_3758.jpeg I have the rocking chair. It’s not used much. We have rocking recliners which our super comfy.

The picture behind the rocking chair is something I painted for my dad.

I have my grandmother’s wooden rocking chair. It’s in the rec room in the basement. It sits on carpet so doesn’t rock too smoothly.

While I set at my office Computer, I spend most of my time sitting in an office chair at its highest setting with cushion on it.
The office has a 15-minute timer, so I know to get up and walk around for 5 minutes. The steps add up. I have a Fitbit Watch
to count them so I keep at a daily average of around 10,000 or more steps. My Industrial Career meant I walked a lot and I feel best at it.
My Place of Employment encouraged all employees to walk lots also which set my thoughts patterns.

My rocking chair is very eighties. It's wood, maybe maple, and has the little skirt around the seat. I recovered the cushions and made a new skirt about 15 or twenty years ago when we got new furniture.
One arm as little marks on it. Those are teething marks from my son. You can't replace those.

Going down memory lane with this rocking tale.

As I've mentioned before I grew up in an old farm house with old furniture.

There was a tall, wooden rocker that I loved to get into/on?
I'd stand on the seat & get to pushing on its back,, wheeeeee.:D:love:

If one of my parents didn't grab me off,, rocker & I would crash to the floor.
Don't know how many times I did that.

I think finally the rocker disappeared.

I think I tried at least 20 chairs before getting this one. Big arms and high back to support the head and arms, making it quite easy to fall fall asleep!
