Has Your Cell Phone Ever Vibrated Strongly While You Were Talking?

A friend of mine has an iPhone8. She called me last night to ask if I'd heard anything about that happening or knew what would cause that problem. She was also concerned that it may have been caused by someone trying to hack her phone. She said the conversation lasted for 5 minutes and the phone vibrated the entire time. I've never heard of this before. I told her to do a search and she did pull up something that indicated others have had this problem.

Depending on settings, don't they do that when there's an incoming call ... while already on a call ??
But even so, I can't think of a circumstance with an incoming call that would go on like that for 5minutes
Still could be something in settings. Dunno

I no longer have an iPhone. My Samsung phone will vibrate when a call comes in if I set it to do so. After answering, the vibrating stops immediately.

Disclaimer: Don't have an iPhone ... mine is an Android

Well, I think vibrate could also be set for incoming text messages or any number of things

If mine were constantly vibrating during calls ...
1) I'd check for any system updates
2) I'd check any settings for any ring and haptic settings and toggle vibrate off or to something else
With haptic feedback, sometimes just touching a screen or button or something causes a vibration feedback
If a haptic setting is "whack" ... maybe during a call, something is constantly being touched (screen?) that gives a haptic feedback / vibration
3) I'd check the disability options (what are they called?) ... those settings can be accidentally set to some "weird" stuff
4) If update and check settings didn't fix it ... I'd reset the phone and see if that fixed it
5) If none of the above worked ... I'd be visiting the nearest Apple store for assistance

I'm fairly certain than a misbehaving app can do this but it would likely be intentional. Malware is everywhere, and the iPhone is a prime target.
