Have Deceased Loved Ones Ever “Visited” You?

My sister in law says her deceased husband (my brother) has come to her in her sleep at least three times since he died in 2008. She says he stands at the foot of the bed and tells her not to worry about him and all is okay.

She said the third time he came was five or so years ago and he again told her all was fine and this would be his last visit as he needed to go on.

She states he indeed has not returned. She swears this is fact and she is more at peace about him. Her daughter is a little worried about her mother’s mental health. I feel this is just the way she is dealing with his death and since it brings her comfort it’s okay.

I have seen deceased family in dreams but it is typically a remembrance of an event and not a conversation. Has anything similar happened to you?

Not to me personally but when my grandmother was 100 and in a nursing home I went to visit her. She was sitting there talking with her sisters, all of whom had predeceased her, and even introduced me to them by name, gesturing towards each as she did. She died not too long after that.

Yes several times... but not in a stand there and chat type of thing... but when a relative died and I wasn't aware of it.. despite never having dreamt of them before.. I always get vision in my sleep of their face..as clear as if I'm awake and they're there in the room. That's when I've done some investigation and discovered they've died..

It's how I discovered my father died also...I was asleep , and suddenly it was as if his face swooshed in through the window..

Another time, I was sitting very quietly in my livingroom only me there, nothing around, I'd been going through some real Trauma .. and I concentrated really hard and asked my long passed mum if she was there with me to show me a sign... .. my vacuum cleaner fell over.. I mean it , the actual cleaner which was just feet from me fell over.. I really wasn't expecting it, and much as I wished my mother there, I panicked, and told whatever it was to stop.. I clearly wasn't ready for any intervention from the spirit world if in fact it had been

I saw my younger sister shortly after she died (June 1986). I catch people (out of the corner of my eye) walking down my hallway here and sometimes it does freak me out when I know there is no one else here at the time. Funny thing about that is I sometimes think it is someone that lives here but when I have checked on them they hadn't left the room they were in.

Nothing at all wrong with your Sister-in-law's mental health.
This happens a lot! I think it's wonderful! What she says is absolutely true!
This is not a "coping" technique. She is telling the truth!

Yes. Often in dreams, but once when I was sick my nana came and stood at the foot of my bed and talked to me, giving me comfort and advice. Death does not separate. Only lack of love. Plus some people are naturally more sensitive to presences than others, IMO.

Yes, in my dreams from time to time, my mother and my grandmother. I have not yet been visited by my recently deceased daughter. But I have conversations with her during the day, almost every day. Strangely, I've not been visited by my dad, even-though we were on good terms.
I believe we can visit living people we are close to in our dreams as well, think what you will.

About ten years ago, while Dave was out of town on business, I had to take our dog to be put to sleep. My neighbor drove me to the vet. I was devastated. That night, I had a dream that Toby, the dog, came through the living room as I was watching TV. He was his old self, sleek with shiny fur, and happy. It truly eased my pain. But here’s the weird part. The next day, my neighbor described a very similar dream, only we were on my deck outside, and Toby came by looking healthy and happy. So maybe all dogs really do go to heaven. True story.

I cared for my brother the last year of his life. His care was complex…often resulting in hospital stays that were nightmares . When he passed I had horrible nightly dreams that woke me up crying. My brother visited me one night and I told him what was happening…and he said he would fix it and make them quit. He did. That night the nightmares stopped.

Yes, many times. I learned a few family secrets after my father died. He also gave me advice about my diet and apologised for his failings as a father.
I have been given predictions about my neighbours and also about people I have met.

I won’t say that I have had exactly visits, but rather that certain deceased loved ones have made powerful impressions on my mind, both to convey that they have continued, and to express concern for my welfare. These are easily dismissed as psychological projections, I know, but faith is the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things yet unseen…”

My wife passed away from cancer a few years ago. Either she HAS visited/contacted me many times and I haven't been aware or she HASN'T. I'm ok either way. I realize verification is impossible. Maybe someday someone will create software that can identify metaphysical energy...and we'll have proof....or we won't. I'm ok either way.
