Have you encountered Potholes in the road๐Ÿ‘‹

Rainy night in Chicago, hubby and I driving home, roads were wet of course.
He saw what he thought was a puddle and just drove into it.
Pothole, deeeep one. The noise when we hit it sounded like the front end of the car
was taken off. It had bent the fan blade on impact. Well, hubby drove Taxi's after high
school before his 1st job so there's that too. :ROFLMAO:

I'm glad I don't drive anymore for lots of reasons and Potholes can really cause a lot of car damage.

In prior years we've had lots of Potholes.

I have a friend who sued the city for car damages. They paid him for the damages

Anyone have any Potholes stories?
I don't know why your phrase, Potholes stories,
Made me laugh, but it did, and i could use the humor. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜
Thank you, Ruthanne. ๐Ÿฅฐ

I've seen many Potholes in my time, and now i feel i should have some pretty good stories, about them. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜‚

Well,
I'm imagining an animation of a vehicle, driving all sorts of zig zags and turns and circles, in order to avoid the Potholes.๐Ÿค—
And Perhaps it's Fred Flintstone, at the steering wheel, and his trusty car, that he doesn't want to damage, or have a flat tire of his, or maybe his wheels just fall off.
All 4 of them at same time. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

Darn Potholes!

When we traveled the country in the RV there were some state's highways that were worse than others. Hitting a pothole in an RV scatters anything not tied down all over the place. Cabinets and drawers can fly open. One prolonged crashing sound, not fun. As I remember the worst states were Pennsylvania and Indiana, at least the parts of them we traveled on.

A couple of years ago, Dallas was paving the roads. There was a section between "paved and unpaved" that dropped considerably. I didn't see it and ran over it too fast. Not only did I get a flat tire, the wheel was so bent that I needed to replace that as well. We don't have a lot of genuine potholes, but the roads sure are rough.

Thanks for that unique Potholes story all the way from Dallas, Doug.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜†

Okay, well I do know what you mean, regarding the paved and unpaved sections. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We have those too, And i imagine Fred Flintstone's car would have trouble with that, as well.

This town is always claiming the don't have the money for street work, so now and then they just dump asphalt or loose gravel into the potholes, which washes up the next big rain.
It's weird. There is a street near our house where they entirely paved over a stretch but the one stretch that continually has potholes they just dump asphalt on them as you described. It's been years since it's actually been repaved.

I remember seeing that a bloke in the UK got so fed up with the council for not filling potholes that he went round with a spray can of white paint and circled each pothole, then wrote alongside a group of them "I've seen holes filled better on Pornhub!"

Apparently that did the trick, and the council were round in double quick time to fill in the potholes. Not before the local paper had put a large picture of the potholes and the caption the bloke had written on the front page though! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: ๐Ÿ‘
