Have You Ever "Attended" An Online Party?

I've "attended" two types. One is the kind that a social networking site hosts to celebrate something. Sometimes it's a holiday party, sometimes an anniversary. We post pictures of foods and beverages as well as music videos of favorite songs, usually danceable tunes. I'm on a networking site where most of us are very close having been online friends for almost 14 years. We'll be having a celebration tomorrow.

The other kind which I "attended" yesterday is a Watch party, often a music party with live entertainment. My son and 5 other DJs gave their time and played some great music for 6 hours yesterday via Zoom. Each DJ had an hour. Some people were gathered together in the same place, others, like myself enjoyed it alone from home. During the parties, we can chat with each other and make comments to let the DJs know how much we are loving the music. Lately they've started serving drinks and food (🍔🍕🍰🍰🥃🍸) which is funny. At the last online party featuring my son deejaying, my honorary daughter was "serving" food and her good friend was "tending bar". A performer friend of mine is sharing his talents on Tuesday. Since the CV-19 virus, more artists are giving online performances. Have you or anyone you know ever participated in online parties?

I have. One was a birthday party when AOL chatrooms were up & running...long time ago.

Another was to make snarky comments while watching The Bachelor. 🤣

The best was a group I used to watch figure skating competition with. Exciting and enjoyable! 🤗

Before FB was so big, I belonged to a site called Blog Frog for bloggers. It had various communities and I was in one that had parties often. It was a lot of fun. Now we are all on FB and are friends but not in a group situation. So no more parties. The parties' themes were usually a silly theme someone came up with.

Facebook has a lot of Watch Parties Katlupe. Any friends can be added (invited) to the watch parties of something a person wants their FB friends to watch and comment on in real time.
