Have you ever grown yarrow?

I bought 2000 yarrow seeds for a couple dollars on Ebay. They're really tiny. I read that they are a tough perennial and I have a spot that needs that. I planted a few in a plastic cup and they are doing really well so far. They are supposed to grow about 3 feet tall. It's hard to imagine these little things getting that big.

I love yarrow. It's such a beautiful plant but I know little about it. What do you know about it? I have a few patches growing wild in my yard. Perhaps I could try to transplant it to get it into places where it can be better seen and appreciated.

There's a variety that grows wild in my region. I've seen it when I've been hiking. I've seen it with white flowers, but apparently given certain climactic or soil conditions it may produce pink flowers. But I've never had seeds for it, so haven't grown it.

3' is pushing it. 12-18" is about normal for native stock and even commercial varieties don't grow much beyond 18" even when irrigated.

It grows on our farm...wild. Everywhere. It is supposed to have medicinal properties?

Mine is golden yellow. I've never seen pink or white.

The seeds I bought are supposed to produce white flowers. According to what I've read it is supposed to have some medicinal properties. It's also supposed to attract bees and butterflies.

Yes I planted some. They were supposed to be a variety of pink, rose, and white blooms but they all bloomed white.

Yes I’ve grown yarrow in between a long row of daffodils. They are easy to grow.

I had yarrow growing wild all over my property at my house before I moved here. Rabbit loves it! It is a good medicinal plant and is used for many health issues. I have used it to stop bleeding and for digestive upsets. It is a safe plant to use, in fact, I added it to our salads and teas.

I've read that yarrow as well as parsley is high in vitamin K. There are people who drink yarrow decoction. But for us over 60, it's probably not safe for us
