Have You ever Known Someone That Thought The World Was About To End?

I just watched a documentary about the "Planet X Theory" and typically I blow them off but this is funnier than others. Some believe there is a gigantic planet not too far away headed this way. When it reaches near Earth it's gravitational pull will literally flip the Earth upside down. This will move the outer crust of our planet resulting in death everywhere. If you take an old floppy and remove the disc then hold it over a camera lens you can see this whatever thing. Note Hubble and all observatories have not seen it. So the question is has anyone known a person that believe the world would end at for instance Y2K or on December 2012 according to the Mayan calendar or any other date?
