Have you ever known someone who changed gender?

I know someone who changed their mind, two or three times a day.

If so I was unaware of it. I have lived a very sheltered life.

I've not lived a sheltered life.. and in television and radio where my husband and I both work/ed ..there's a great deal to be seen, believe me.. I've known gays of both sexes, but I've never met one person who has transitioned officially ...

When my younger daughter was at university, she stayed in a house owned by a police officer. This officer was born a woman, but had changed gender to be a man. Being a police woman was OK , but when she changed, she was below the regulation height for a police man. She successfully argued against this and was allowed to continue police duties as a man.

Not known personally but working a local college, met many transgender students who would come in for counselling.
