For those of you who don't know there is a poll, too, if you'd care to take it.

I have to admit I have! Of course more than once. I don't always realize it because of anxiety that sets in when I do this, though.

Or do you always have everything in the right perspective in the right proportions?

Here is the wikepedia definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_a_mountain_out_of_a_molehill

Yup!

Sometimes after I hear other peoples views and have a think I realize that my initial reaction was not as fair and balanced as it might have been.

Oh heck yeah. I was quite the drama queen in my younger years. If I met my younger self now I'd slap her silly. :p And of course I haven't quite outgrown all of it. 😊
Guess I can be a drama queen but the ones ive seen in the workplace are faking it just to leverage their reputaton and trash others'.

Yes, mostly when we have company. I obsess over trying to please everyone with what I'm going to serve for dinner and making sure the house is spotless. I start with lists weeks in advance. I also get myself in a tizzy when A bill comes that is wrong and I have to deal with people to try and straighten it out. Of course the bill comes on Friday and I have the whole weekend to turn into a complete basket case.

This definitely resonates. 😀

People pleasing is often a core component of high anxiety people such as myself.
I don't know if that was supposed to be a reflection on me, but I assure you that I never "faked it to leverage my reputation and trash others."
sorry i dont see how you think i could mean you.
im speaking from my own experience.
look out . we are making mountains out of molehills here!! 😊😀

I have found that if you really get down into it, close one eye, and scrutinize…I’m talkin’ get yer face on the ground…a mole hill can easily take on the semblance of a mountain

I’ve never taken the time, but it seems to balance out, as my lady can really get into it

I call her my little gunny bagger

Carries all this stuff around in a huge gunny sack

Gets tired

Rests a bit

Sets the bag down

Takes something outa it

Shows it to me

Puts it back in that huge bag

Throws it over her shoulder

….and trudges along

It’s a darn good thing we love each other so, as she hardly ever gets pissed at all my faults and I hardly ever point this one out

…….I’d end up in that damn bag

I once made a big deal over my bank statements being put in someone else's mailbox. We had a new mail carrier who kept mixing up everyone's mail at the time. I called the post office and made a fuss, sent my son a five page text, and called the bank. Turned out the bank had started sending statements in smaller envelopes. They looked like ads from the bank so I was throwing them in the garbage. Oh well. Ha🤭
