Have you forgotten to scan an item from your trolley?

@Debrah N. and @hollydolly I'd be fine with being asked. Especially since it's something I've thought about.

Oh never mind, I'm in California. I can walk out the door with up to $900.00 something dollars of merchandise. No problem. :ROFLMAO:

just so you can picture the store in your head...

see the security guy on the right.. they used to have a customer desk there and all the lockers, and they would wrap the bags there....

That building reminds me of the black ones we were discussing yesterday only this one appears to be navy blue.

At the grocery store, I would give the cart with all my stuff to the cashier. Several times, they would miss the stuff on the bottom of the cart. When I got back to my car, I would look at the receipt and wonder why the total wasn't what I expected, only to find that they didn't charge me for the item at the bottom of the cart.

Every time, I'd go back to the same cashier that checked me out. Sometimes, they would stop the line and ring up the item again with everyone in the line glaring at me, and the cashier looking at me like I did something wrong.

More often, the cashier would wave me off and tell me to keep it. Even the managers were OK with it.

I can't remember which store, but one I was in lately had a sign that asked people specifically not to use their reusable bags to shop with as I suppose they're concerned that thieves will conceal unpaid merchandise inside.
We have to bring our own bags to the store. A few stores have large signs telling us not to put our items in the bag while shopping. I can understand that.

They'll glue a 69 cent UPC code sticker on their finger and use that while blocking the real UPC codes.
Darn. I hope the thieves here don’t read your post.

I mostly shop at our local supermarket now. I've gotten used to using their self checkout. I rarely spend more than $26 each time, so not many items. A couple of months ago I didn't see one of the items in the cart because it had fallen to the side of my coat which was also in the cart. After I checked out and paid I noticed it. I just gave it to the store manager who was not far away. It was something I bought on a whim and I didn't feel like going through the checkout process again.
