Have You Had The Heat On Yet ??

Last couple of days, had the thermostat set to heat.
Well, eating supper just now and realized I was just about to break a sweat !!!
Checked the thermostat and it's 82 in house. Of course the heat hasn't come on all day.
It's been warmer out again today. Back to AC I guess. It's the back and forth time of year again.

Yes, I turn it on in the morning when I get up just to get the chill off. Then turn it off. In the afternoon I am like you. When I realize I am getting too warm I turn the AC on. We are still in the 80s during the days too with 50's at night. Good sleeping weather!

Yes, had to from yesterday. Heat rises, of course, and we've got high ceilings. Our bedrooms are downstairs and currently waiting on new window replacement for our bedroom, so it's a wee bit chilly at night, but just for half hour with portable heater and we're good to go.

Main heating system is at 20°C and only kicked in twice today. Savings! House is also well insulated and retains the heat. Also, the system was upgraded before we've moved in, a huge plus.

Boiler is set in economy but we've upped the temperature from 45 to 55, much better heat now and prices have gone down, less waste.

Yes, I turn it on for a short while during the day then I turn it off. I don't need it at nighttime because my bed has cotton flannel sheets and a very warm down comforter.

I haven't yet... but I suppose it will be any day now... hasn't gone below 68 inside yet, but considering it's getting late into October, I'm thinking within a week I'll need to run it.

yes about 2 days ago it was only 40 something F , so I put the heating on for an hour just to take the cold off.. and also to dry out the bath towels after a shower...

It's 19 deg c ( about 67 F).. in the house now..the electricity and gas prices in the UK are through the roof, so for the last year it's not been affordable to turn the heating on whenever I like... so instead I have bought some fleeces to wear indoors.. and also downstairs I have the sofa blankets..

We've put on the heat a bit lately, particularly using a portable heater in the office. But don't leave the heat above 70 degrees (Fahrenheit) at night, as that gets too hot. So far, at least!

Not yet. I don't mind a little chill in the mornings. I just grab the quilted flannel robe. Not putting the AC back on just for 80 degrees either. Open the windows and pull the shades.

It’s been coming on sometimes. We’ve had a much warmer than usual fall. 69 in the daytime and 64 overnight. Comes back on for 8 a.m. Rarely hear it except in the evenings and early morning. Guess that’s supposed to change next week.

Oh yes, but sparingly. My wife and I like it a little cooler so I might turn up the heat to 68 in the morning and then back down to 62 later. Will start burning wood in mid-November when winter-lIke weather abruptly hits us.

Yes…..I’ve turned into a heat bunny.
I turned it on Oct 1st, has been on since…..set at 22c, and leave it.

We like our bedroom to be cool at night, so we sleep with the air on 68/70. The mornings are cool, so we turn the heat on for a few hours when we get up.

Yes, it got cold in here at night a couple of days last week. For one of those days, they hadn't turned the heat on yet. I was thankful that it was on the next day. For the last couple of days I've found I need to turn the thermostat all the way down because it's gotten quite warm in here.

I like it cold! It will be a while before I kick it on. I prefer to wear warm clothing, sweats, fannels and leave the heat off. I have throws on the sofa for me and the pups. I have an extra blanket folded at the end off the bed I can pull up when it gets chilly at night.

I am getting things ready for winter, new air filter in the heater, covering the outside faucets.

Not in the house, but in the van. Winnebago insulated it pretty well but it's still just a big metal box that conducts outside temperature to the inside quickly so I ran AC during the day last week and heat at night.

I like it cool, it's 67-68F when I wake up in here, that's fine.
Mid to high 60's during the day outside; love it.
Middle of the night, who cares? Doggie and I are snug in our blankies and asleep.

Yes. If nothing else to break the chill in the house in the morning. Once it warms up, I can turn off the heat and the house stays warm all day thanks to all the heat producing devices in the house. That will soon change with the highs of the day getting down well below 60.

Yes, my heat has been on for about a week I think . I try to always turn it down at bedtime.
