Have you noticed life is getting more complicated?

I don't know if this qualifies as "complicated" but I miss the innocence and kindness I used to see and experience in others. Many still have it, but less and less do I seem to experience it on a daily basis.

I agree and add decency, decorum and respect.

In our 80's now, I might be a bit more uncomfortable if we lived away from family. There are small things that I wouldn't be comfortable asking outsiders ( friends or not) to help us with. In some ways having family around has probably made us a bit lazy in tackling computer or phone problems that crop up, but it's very comforting to know that help is at hand for any emergency that arises that we are unsure of.

There are complexities today that (IMHO) are better left to younger minds than our somewhat out dated ones. Our 4 kids are in their late 50's -early 60's and the grandkids in their 20's and 30's. Many things that seem complex to us are routine in their world. :)

Not sure if this is what you meant with your question, but I will say yes. I usually find myself being able to handle what life has thrown at me. But for some reason I am having a lot of trouble comprehending all the Medicare and other insurance issues that come with retirement and old age. I also "worry" about life becoming more complicated as we get older and, maybe less mobile and independant.
