Have you used the InstaCart grocery delivery service in your area?

When Dave was laid up by gout, I used Walmart, and it was free. I just showed up and someone came out with our order. I loved it. His gout got better, and he actually likes to grocery shop. If I let him go by himself, there's no telling what he'll come home with! LOL!

Did they deliver to your home? Did they come to your door?

No, I drove to the store. They came out to the car and loaded the groceries into the back. That's how my daughter does her grocery shopping. She says that not only does it save her time, there's no impulse buying, and no kids begging for candy at the checkout.
 

I'm curious about tipping grocery delivery workers.

I have seen a suggestion of $5.00 or 20% of the order whichever is higher but 20% seems a little spendy to me on large orders.

Also, do you tip at checkout or when they actually drop off your order?

I read that door dash delivery people make from $7 to $25 an hour. I want the drivers to do well, so I tip within reason as it saves me time and countless aggravation.
 
I tried for the first time ordering online this morning for delivery. It was easy, Kroger already had a list of most of the items I usually buy. It was all going well and I was ready to pay, then they said the soonest they could deliver was Thursday 8-9pm. I didn't want to wait THAT long so I went myself. There were very few people and everyone kept a safe distance, the cashier wore gloves and sprayed the area well.
