Having difficulty activating AT&T iPhone

Instead of a replacement phone from AT&T I had to go through Apple because I signed up with AppleCare. My role is mail the old phone back to Apple for a refund, oh yeah I had to pay top dollar for the new phone. When Apple receives my old phone I get my money back.

I tried to activate the new phone without success.

I bought my second iPhone at a Verizon store. Those things are all over the place, even in my retirement community. People there are usually very helpful. Of course they should be for what you paid. They set everything up for me. This first iPhone I got through the mail, and got frustrated by the setup process. Let's face it; Newcomers are going to be frustrated, no matter how much your grandchild tells you it's really easy. I took it to the Apple store, and the guy told me he wasn't supposed to help me for free, and then he helped me for free.

Go in an put your old person face on, and act all incompetent. Someone will help you.
