I remember our first one, a beautiful piece of furniture too! But, I also remember it was a horrible TV...RCA I think, nothing but a big headache.

One moment, at age 10, I could not lift radio, remember radios- when they were a piece of furniture?
Also, TV's had doors on them to cover up the 'ugly
screen?-you were suppose to think it was a nice walnut cabinet(?).

My Aunt had one of those big radios. It had shortwave bands too. I played with it trying to pick up something on them but all I got was static. I'm pretty sure she didn't even have an antenna hooked to it.
