Headlines I never thought I would see

More and more, the news articles are all beginning to sound like The Onion.
When I first read it I assumed it was. Did a little research and found that unfortunately it's true...

Something wrong with a person who does this kind of thing, embezzling million would be wrong but more understandable:

Brinton, 35, was charged with grand theft valued at between $1,200 and $5,000.

The energy official who uses she/them pronouns reportedly has sticky fingers for suitcases.

It's weird, but it's far from the weirdest thing about Sam Brinton.

Of course I can't comment on these people. But as someone who was raised by a parent with a severe personality disorder, I'm well aware of these people's insatiable need for attention. I think some of this trans, fluid, non-binary crap is just that. They need to be different so they can be the victim. My mother was always the victim and she reveled in her accent helping make her so. Not saying that people can't be ignorant and mean but I watched too much BS with that woman.

And everyone is supposed to dance around how they want to be identified. Sorry, people have real problems.

What kind of accent did your mom have @Remy ?
My mother was from Germany and since she came to the U.S. well into her 30's, I guess she had a rather thick accent. She was fluent in English, reading and writing always to my remembrance.

Once she yelled at me "you're embarrassed because I have an accent." I couldn't tell she had one. Nuts.

I'm not going to post on this subject anymore. I don't want people to get the idea I'm anti-LGBTQ; I'm not. Many years ago I was a fan of the English writer James Morris. When James Morris became Jan Morris, I was still a fan. People have to be themselves, but Sam sounds a bit off.

On to the next thing.
