Healing with non touching hands

The last rime I used it, was last year, a friend comes to cut
my hair every month, she is in her 40s and had problems
with her stomach, digestion problems and pains.

I held her hand and put my other in front of her tummy, I
moved my hand up and down and round the area, she said
that it felt funny, like I was touching her, but with something
between my hand and her body!

The next time she called to do my hair, I asked her how her
tummy was, she said that she had forgotten all about it, till
a friend asked her what she was doing to look so slim and
healthy, she was thrilled to hear this, of course and has never
had trouble since, with her stomach.

I have many injuries from car accidents. Had to learn massage techniques to help with the problems. And I have done some massage when my wife's muscles cramp up.

From doing that, it seems pretty clear that there is much more in that contact, than just two physical objects meeting. Of course, it stimulates circulation and healing through that.

But there is some kind of "calming" effect. And I don't mean emotional.

Our bodies definitely have an EMF field. And, I think that one EMF field, from one individual, can affect the other person's EMF field.

So, basically, if one person is very agitated because of pain and injury...I think "adding in" a second energy, may dissipate the "agitated" energy.

I have also had a bit of Reiki done. It definitely has an effect. Subtle, but an effect. Calming is what I experienced.

I guess, once the therapy ends, the body slowly returns to its previous state. I think that is why it seems to have no effect.

That is has a subtle effect and that effect does not necessarily last all that long.

But you know, I would not doubt that Reiki might increase healing from an injury by, oh 10% or 20%. But that instantaneous healing..I have not seen that. Maybe that exists too, but I have not seen that. So, if it takes 4 days to heal, instead of 5, that is still an effect.

I have Level I Reiki certification with several additional “attunements.” I also have a beloved cat with an inoperable tumor on which I’ve performed Reiki several times weekly now for over a year. The vet told me the cat’s life expectancy was six weeks in January 2021, but he’s still with me, and seemingly free of pain.- - Coincidence? Perhaps, or perhaps not…. 🐈

A woman came along on horseback and got down and placed her hands either side of the ankle, without touching, and slowly moved her hands a little way up and down the ankle. This healed the ankle and Antoinette was able to walk the next morning pain free.
I believe treatments like this can be effective pain reducers. Pain is of course all perceived in our minds - the mind is a complex and interesting thing. I think the actual physical medical treatment is a placebo, but particularly for pain relief placebos can be power things.

It was noticed by British, during the first World War, that people
treated by certain nurses always healed quickly and lived, other
nurses had lots of failures, I am sure that there is a report about
this fact somewhere, because I read about it many years ago.

I know the topic is "non-touching" hands .. however ..

I used to lay my hands on my daughter's tummy when she had a tummy ache. It seemed to take away the pain. I've also done the same when I had bad menstrual cramps. I never liked taking pain meds for it.
The therapeutic power of the Human touch is well known and documented. The 'non-touch' close proximity energy healing is less accepted, and difficult to verify.

As other have mentioned this is Reiki energy healing, and is dependent on the recipient's believing.
There are accounts in the Bible of Jesus using a healing technique that strongly resembles this.
Like Dark Matter and Dark Energy, energy healing has some telltale signs of existence, but not as of yet verifiable by scientific methods.
In Traditional Chinese medicine the Qi is in the same realm, as is the human soul or spirit.
Not to show my ignorance, @Nathan, but now I understand how the "Qi" makes sense in the Outspell game I play. I always thought Q goes with u, but not this one. I had never looked up Qi before. Thanks for explaining it.
