Hearing Aid

Do you use one?

I was tested for poor hearing a few weeks ago and yesterday
I was given a custom made hearing aid, at the local hospital,
it seems that I don't pick up the treble or high sounds very well.

The device is tiny and fits inside my ear, you can't see unless
you deliberately check my ear.

It is a strange thing, to switch it off when I remove it, I have to
open the battery compartment and leave it open till I am going
to use it again, easy.

What is not so easy, is volume control. Volume control is done
by a Smart Phone and my 2 year old Samsung is not smart enough,
so I had to go and buyanother one today, I got a Google Pixel 3a
but I haven't tried the volume thing yet, I spent ages setting things
and transferring contacts etc., then I have to download an app from
the App Store, but the new phone is charging at the moment, so I
won't do any more till tomorrow.

I still don't think I need a hearig aid, but people say that my TV is
very loud.

M ike.

I have a set that I bought online for $250 each. They are rechargeable and adjustments, that are very, very easy to use, on each hearing aid. I don't use them all of the time, but do use them.

Have a older in one ear and a two year old one in the other. My hearing loss is not from age. They think from a form of meningitis.
Would like a newer one but can't afford that. right now. My newer is programed by the place where I bought it.
