Hearing the words 'I love you' as a child from your parent/parents.

Like others here, my parents weren't much into saying "I Love You" - they were busy raising us 5 kids. It came much later, when they had grandchildren, and the only time I remember my dad saying it to me was a few months before he died. On the telephone. It meant a lot to me to hear him say that. My mom, now a great-grandmother, says it often when we finish our phone conversations. I also tell my son once in awhile, and I can tell he Iikes it because he smiles and says "Me, too."

So, for those of you who did not get to hear "I Love You," growing up, I will say this "I Love You!" 🌹

The other day, we had a Zoom presentation with a poet, and she was telling "I Love You" to everyone speaking to her. Would you believe it, it made me tear up? We don't say those three words enough. Thanks @LadyEmeraude for bringing this topic up.
