Heated Gloves or Mitts

Does anyone have them. Or even any reviews of them. Our neighbour was given a pair and said they’re wonderful.

For ~C$150 I’m not rushing out to buy them without some good advice. I may regret that when I’m out walking. Winter hasn’t even started yet. Brrr.

Sorry, I don't have a review of them. Perhaps look them up on Amazon and then look at how people have rated and reviewed them. I just looked up feet warmers--opposite end! Found one I may get when my check deposits.

Nope!

When I was a kid we had hand warmers that used lighter fluid. They worked great but they did give off a faint fuel smell. They are still available for $15.00 - $20.00 at a variety of stores.

In the Little House days, kids used to carry a hot baked potato or hard-boiled egg in their pocket to keep hands warm on the way to school and then ate them cold for lunch.

I had some alpaca gloves that were very warm,, sadly I wore them out.
Did buy a pair of alpaca sox,,, nice warm feet.
Amazon carries gloves & sox made of alpaca wool.

I spoke with a gentleman last year that was wearing a heated jacket, and he said it was crazy warm and worked outstanding, so my bet is heated winter gloves would extend the same.

Ensure that if you aren't 100% satisfied, the heated gloves can be returned, but I most definitely would try them. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, Jules.

They do get some good reviews from people who have bought them. But, some reviews include "size to big", "battery charger stopped working".

There's also some disposable hand warmers you can buy. They're little squares that I think you squeeze them to activate them and you can hold them inside you gloves.

It's my understanding that the little squares fail to keep the tips of fingers warm.

I'm outdoors quite a bit in the Winter. The best gloves I've found are "hunters" gloves. They seem to keep my hands warm, and are flexible enough that I can do most activities with them on. I can usually find a good pair for under $20.
