On top of more damage to Louisiana, post Tropical Cyclone Delta’s center is over northern Mississippi this morning and the system continues to move to toward the Northeast.
As of 4:30 a.m., several flood alerts remain in place for parts of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Delta is expected to bring gusty and rainy conditions to the South today and then reach New York City by Sunday night and into Monday morning.
Several alerts have been posted for the New York City metro area including a Gale Watch and Gale Warning through Monday evening as wind gusts could top 40 mph. Up to 4 inches of rain are possible through Monday night in portions of the DelMarVa area and central New Jersey.
Atlanta is reporting between 2 to 4 inches of rain in White County, Georgia that is resulting in Flash Flood Warnings early this morning.

This is just so awful. Drought, wind and fires in some places and way too much rain and wind in others. I feel so bad for those people that keep getting hit. Is it going to hit you, PopsnTuff?

Glad it's going to be okay where you are. Here the rain is straggling in. At least the temperatures are becoming more seasonable. November is usually one of our heaviest rainfall months, so fingers crossed. I don't know how much the rain we had yesterday helped the fires. Here we don't have weekend local news. The time is taken up with sports. So hopefully tomorrow we will hear that it helped the fires die down.

Well here it's Sunday nite at 10:15 in so-called DelMarVa (specifically in Md.) there's a gentle rain with wind at 7 mph and tomorrow's forecast is rain with wind at 14 mph so I guess the cupcake chicken little climate change forecasters are overstating their case again. What else is new?

There are myriad programs they use to predict the weather. Generally they do not agree. That does not negate the validity of climate change.

Lost story. Just one hurricane can affect a community for years but several? Good Luck to all of those affected. I've experienced 2 in about a month after a summer of severe thunderstorms and near misses and some still didn't have power near the holidays.

Again best wishes to those in the area.
